If you are considering booking a holiday, you might be trying to decide about another beach break or a visit to a city. However, have you ever considered that chartering luxury yacht could enable you to enjoy the best of both worlds, visits to pristine beaches and day trips to various port cities. Below are the answers to some frequently asked question about a luxury yacht charter.

What do the different rates mean?

  • All-inclusive: Because hiring a yacht is a luxury experience, you can arrange for the trip to be all-inclusive. This means that you do not have to pay for meals, snacks or drinks while on board and that you can also take advantage of any water sports equipment such as jet-skis and snorkel gear at no extra cost.
  • Plus Bar: The Plus bar rate offers the same as the all-inclusive rate. However, drinks will not be included and will need to be bought separately
  • Plus Expenses: This rate covers the cost of the yacht hire, any crew and insurance for the duration of your holiday. However, you will be required to pay for all meals and drinks you consume while you are on board and for the use of any water sports equipment.

What is the difference between a bareboat charter and a crewed charter?

As the name suggest, a crewed charter includes a crew who will live on board the yacht with you. This will include a skipper who can sail and navigate the boat. The additional crew may include deckhands, stewardesses, chefs and engineers.

A bareboat charter means that you rent the yacht without a skipper or crew. This means you will need to be able to sail and navigate the yacht yourself. This option is only available if you have previous experience of sailing. Some charter companies will require you to show some form of certification.

Will the on-board chef be able to cater for any special dietary requirements?

On a luxury yacht, the staff are all highly trained. This means that the on-board chef should be able to cater for any special dietary requirements such as vegan, gluten-free or diabetic. You should inform the yacht hire company of any special dietary requirements when you book your boat.

If you have any further questions about chartering a luxury yacht, you should contact a yacht charter company. They will be able to assist you further with your booking.

About Me
Going on a senior's group holiday

I love going on group holidays. You get to meet a whole new group of friends and have such awesome experiences together, and the guides are great about making sure you get to make the most of your holiday. I always went on tours with my husband when he was alive, but even this year when he is in the nursing home I've decided to go on a tour with some other seniors. My blog has some ideas and reviews of the holidays that you can take and will be great for anyone planning a senior's group holiday in AUstralia.
